MONTH 40

a2a1a1a1a2a3a4a5a6a7-copya9a12a13I feel like I’m the one that turned 40. You girls continue to have a ton of energy, and we’re so thankful that the spunk and charisma that you have keeps us on our toes. You get along so well with each other and that puts a huge smile on our face as we strive to do what the Lord commands us, “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” (Deuteronomy 6:7).

This was a hot summer. So, we took many trips to our friend’s pools, and even went to the beach a few times! We enjoyed a little trip with your grandma and grandpa and cousins! It was a ton of fun. Your aunt was so awesome and helped me build a pool for you to jump in! It was worth the investment, because you two must’ve spent an hour in that little puddle!

I was also asked to teach at a leadership conference for students and was able to bring you and mommy with me! I made the mistake of telling you about it a week before and all you did for those seven days was ask repeatedly, “Daddy, are we going to the mountains today”? I’m so glad we went! It was some much needed time away. We walked around the lake, explored Big Bear, and played at a few parks. While you napped, daddy started on his very first class for a Master’s Degree!

We also said goodbye to our very first home. It was an emotional day because loved and cared for that house for 7 wonderful years. We sold it to a really sweet lady, and are so thankful that God provided us a new home to watch you grow in!
