Giddy up for Month 37! What a blast we had as we celebrated three years of life with you two. It’s a daunting task raising two souls, but I have your sweet, serene mother to keep me grounded and reminds me to take one day at a time. It’s daunting, not in the gloomy, what-have-I-gotten-myself-into kind of daunting. More like, daunting in the sense that we’re not just raising kids here, we’re raising two young women to know their Creator, and to one day, prayerfully, know Him on a salvational level where you two understand that Jesus is the only Savior of your souls. That’s daunting. God’s Word places a lot of responsibility on parenting, and I know it’s not 100% on me if you one day follow Jesus or not, but I do know I’m called to try. God has uniquely called your mom and I to love you and teach you. For some divine, perfect reason, God chose Noel and Jeremy to raise Gracen and Gwen. And here’s a sample of what we’re to do with you:

“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7 ESV)

This means…Every. Single. Day.

The Bible has commanded your mom and I to love, teach, and talk JESUS with you two. It’s my prayer that we do this with a fire in our hearts. I’m convinced that the best way to love you two is to show you Jesus in all that I do. I’m going to fail, but even in those failures, I pray I can model biblical repentance, sorrow, and sanctification as I get back up. I love you two. What’s more, Jesus loves you. The Bible tells you so. And your mom and I are dedicated to tell you so all the live long day.
