Month 22

For your mom’s birthday, I took you guys to Carpinteria State Beach, we enjoyed a delectable lunch at Padaro Beach Grill  and watched you play with other kids in their awesome sand pit. Afterwards we rode our bicycles (albeit I towed you) around the city of Ventura. Then we topped it off by strolling with mom at the outlet stores so she can go on a birthday spree. I love your mom’s birthday, it reminds me how good God is by allowing me the privilege and honor of being married to her!

Mommy loves photos. She loves taking photos. She loves you two. She loves photos of you two. She also loves taking photos of you two…non stop. I sometimes complain, but I never should, because the tangible memories of terabytes of photos are priceless for me. Did you know I only have 3 baby photos of myself? So when your mom took photos of “pre-valentines” “popcicle tuesday” “post rain puddle days” “actual valentines day” and “post-valentines day” shoots, I cherish all of them. I don’t think you can take too many. In reality, it’s just a small way of telling God how thankful we are for the inside-outside beauties that you two are! We’re beyond blessed that God has lent you two to us.

For Valentines Day, you cheap dad bought some used slides on Craigslist! That’s an online yard sale site…who knows if it will be around when you two are old enough. Anyways, you both absolutely love the new (used) slides! It’s a joy to watch you two learn how to take turns and share. Gwen, let’s work on you kicking your sister down the slide when she isn’t fast enough though!

I love you two very much! Just 60 days until you’re two (and hopefully potty trained). But if you’re not, I’ll keep changing your diapers and take 18 cents out of your college funds each time 🙂
