What an enjoyable month of observing you both grow so rapidly! You’ve left babyhood and have leaped into pre-toddler in a flash. Better than pre-teen I guess (that’s many more months away).
What’s so fun about this particular stage is that you two think everything is funny! I love making up goofy ways to make you both giggle. 80% of the time I’m right on and have a laugh fest going in a minute flat. The other 20% you both look at me funny, and I just try again.
The things I have done to make you laugh have included the following: throwing blankets on our heads, pretending to eat plastic fruit, throwing pacifiers in ceiling fans, pretending to trip on toys, and the occasional toss of Gwen’s lamb onto my face.
It’s a blast to witness you two begin to get to know each other…you’ve really formed a bond this last month. You’ve made each other laugh, have played well together, and have kept the toy stealing at a minimum. You’re both great listeners, and have been a complete joy to mommy and I.
We took you both to Disneyland this month! You better live it up now though, the way prices are going, you’re going to only know Mickey through the television.
Back to Disneyland, it’s a treasure to see you enjoy the sights and sounds! Rides are a 50/50 these days. Sometimes you love Dumbo…other times you’re angry with him…but it’s all good (we go with the flow). I can tell you a consistent love from both of you is Disney Junior Live (free air conditioning!) and Small World. A consistent hate includes spinning rides, and the treacherous Storybook Land (lesson learned…don’t drop Gracen’s apple). Speaking of inside jokes, mommy now knows to never ask anyone if they’re pregnant while standing next to the poor lady in line for Casey Jr. Train! (I’ll never let her forget that beautifully awkward moment).
We’ve found some sweet hiding spots, but one time this Australian dance crew foiled us and nearly woke you both up! Nap times are Disneyland are a must (so we mommy and I can catch our breaths).
Next month marks the Big 18! (Year and a Half)! It’s turning Fall, which means some pumpkin pictures can be expected.
