Every Single Month

Babies. This was a fun month! You’re getting too smart for your own good! And that brings us so much joy! Gosh it’s good to be a dad. I’ve waited for this, for you two. And I love you like a Canadian loves molasses.

ROLLING STONES
Mom and I foresee a crazy winter ahead! You’re starting to roll, which freaks us out a little bit. It adds a whole new curveball to the game. Gone are the days of just letting you lay there with the plethora of plushes and sound-making machines. We don’t want you to roll away! It’s a “whole new busy” but a “whole new fun”. I gotta start baby proofing so you don’t stick those fingers in sockets and whatnot.

SMASH MOUTH
Sisters. You’re teething this month. Those cheeks are nice and red and you put anything in your mouth. I mean anything. But don’t swallow something. That’d be great. We can’t wait to see those pearly whites! But don’t bite eachother. Cool?

SMASHING PUMPKINS
We went to Lombardi Ranch! Before deciding, mom and I gave ourselves a pep talk. It went something like this:

“Alright, you realize we’re going to stick our 5 month olds in dust, wind, straw, and who knows how many snot-nosed/booger fingered toddlers there right?”
“Yea.”
“Sweet, let’s do it.”

And we did! And it was crazy! And it was so fun! Lotsa cool photos, and mommy may have dropped a pumpkin on her toe, but it’s just collateral damage. The bruise was worth it.

WHITNEY HOUSTON
If daddy only knew how to get videos on this website thingy…
Gwen…I sing to you and Gracen all the time. Daily actually. And lately I’ve been singing old school R&B to ya. You laugh at all my songs, but when I sang Whitney Houston’s “And IIIIIIIIIIIIIII WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOUOUOUOOOUOUOUUUOUOUOUOUO” you went from glad to mad in 2 seconds flat. It’s hilarious, and we’ve been playing it on repeat. Hopefully it’s around when you’re old enough to tell me if you don’t like my voice or just not a fan of good 90′s R&B.

We dedicated you two at our church! It was a huge reminder that you two belong to God first, and we just have you on loan. I can’t wait to share the gospel to you, and hopefully live a godly example to you. Mommy and I pray you’ll fall in love with Christ!!
