Every Single Month

Big milestones and lovely surprises this month! Besides being fluent in Calculus and Portuguese, you girls continue to amaze us at how smart you’re getting! Gracen, you’ve found your face! You have big smiles every time we put you in the swing because you love to look up at the mirror. Gwen, you’re our ceiling fan girl! You’re content at laying in our bad watch the blades endlessly rotate. It’s a joy to see how attentive you girls are becoming! You’re recognizing our voices now, and follow our fingers. And those smiles!! I could eat them up!

So, Gwen…something else happened this month. You and your sister were sleeping nicely on the playmat while mommy and daddy talked and stared at your pretty faces. It was a nice and serene moment until…WHACK. You totally smacked your sister in the face! We couldn’t believe it. Gracen wasn’t happy, but she’ll probably get you back one day. This is the beginning of a great sistership.

We also took our first vacation! We always bash the beach every August, and even though you’re only 4 months old, you guys handled the new environment like a champ! Instead of eating out, we ordered pizzas and chilled in the hotel room with the rest of the fam. I think mommy took 5 gazillion photos that weekend.

You girls love when we sing to you. And we can’t wait until you can sing back! Singing really calms you guys when you’re tired or fussy. Unfortunately you’re not into rock n’ roll yet, so we settle for “If you’re happy and you know it” and “I Love You, You Love Me”.

You girls also transitioned to BIG GIRL CRIBS! No more bassinets in mommy and daddy’s room. It took mommy some convincing, but once we moved you girls to your room, you loved it. We checked on you like ten times the first night, but you girls are amazing. No stressful nights this month!

We also had a big outing at mommy and daddy’s friend’s house. We enjoyed company, swimming, and good eats. You girls did so good with everyone holding you! It was so nice to see our friends hold you. You girls are loved!

Bath time is a breeze now. You used to hate it, this month you girls splish splash and laugh the whole time.

Last but not least, you girls have a new cousin! Luke arrived this month, and we’re sure you girls, Luke, and Evan are going to enjoy a life-long friendship.

We love you girls and can’t wait to see what Month 5 brings us. This daddy’s heart is so full. – YOUR CONTENT DAD
